Common questions
The app isn’t following my movements
SalahMotion senses your prayer through your Apple Watch or your AirPods. Make sure one of them is connected and worn, and that you’ve allowed Motion & Fitness (for AirPods) or that your Apple Watch app is installed and running. If detection feels off, run the in-app Calibration once — it tunes the app to how you move.
My Apple Watch and iPhone aren’t in sync
The watch and your iPhone or iPad share postures over Bluetooth, so keep them within range and make sure Bluetooth is on. Your settings and prayer records sync through your own iCloud — check you’re signed in to iCloud on both devices.
My prayer times or Qibla look wrong
These are calculated from your location, so allow Location access (While Using the App). You can also choose your calculation method in Settings to match your local mosque.
Changing language or recitation
Open Settings in the app to choose your language and recitation, and to pick Sunni or Shia guidance. Some voices download the first time you select them, so stay on Wi-Fi for that.
Does the app need an account?
No. There’s no sign-up and no password. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Report a problem or suggest something
Found a bug, or have an idea? Email support@salahmotion.com with your device model and iOS/watchOS version if you can — it helps us track things down. If you turned on “Send crash reports” in Settings, diagnostic reports also reach us automatically.
Requirements
SalahMotion runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Hands-free posture detection needs an Apple Watch or AirPods with motion sensing.
